In 1969 I served our country as a member of the 44th MedicaI Brigade/9th Infantry Division in South Vietnam.  Now beginning on July 7, 2014 I am continuing my service in an effort to support my fellow veterans by making a 10,000 mile solo motorcycle ride across America to raise funds & awareness for Homes for Our Troops. This is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 2004, that is strongly committed to building specially adapted homes for the over 1,700 Service Members nationwide who have returned home with life-altering injuries post 9/11.

The veterans Homes for Our Troops builds homes for are among the nation’s most severely injured with missing limbs, varying levels of paralysis and traumatic brain injury (TBI). HFOT assists these veterans and their families by raising money, and providing building materials and professional labor to coordinate the construction of a home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently. HFOT provides these homes at NO COST to the veterans.

One of the greatest gifts we can give to these heroes is a safe & functional place to live. The donations you make to support me will help this important organization. You can be assured that your donation is put to good use because Homes for Our Troops has received Charity Navigator’s highest rating of 4 Stars every year since 2008. Charity Watch has awarded HFOT an A rating and included us on its list of Top-Rated Military & Veterans Charities.

Thank you for supporting my efforts to help continue the Homes for Our Troops mission & provide freedom & independence to our nation’s heroes!
